Visual Editing of Shale Dialogs
Posted: February 21, 2008Published: February 19, 2008
Author: Teemu Kämäräinen
The Shale Framework utilizes simple XML descriptions for managing dialogs. When creating complex dialogs, it's quite hard to handle all the relations by editing XML manually. A visual editor would be nice! But - there seems not to exist any tools for editing Shale Dialog Configuration files visually. Fortunately, Teemu Kämäräinen created a quick and dirty solution that enables visual editing of Shale Dialogs. The solution consists of a single XSLT stylesheet that transforms ArgoUML XMI project files containing a state machine diagram to Shale Dialog Configuration XML.
